You should look forward to your Senior Photos, not stress over the details. At the same time, pulling off the perfect Senior session takes a lot of planning. As the premier Cincinnati Senior Photo Experience, we’re here to help!
Our clients have lots of questions as they get ready for their session. One of first items is usually HOW SHOULD I WEAR MY HAIR? That’s a tough question and there isn’t any one answer that is right for everyone.
Let’s start with a few DO NOTS:
- Do not get a new hair style just before you senior photos!
- Do not try to be too formal.
- Do not try to copy or mirror someone else-BE YOURSELF!
- Do not feel like you need to have the same style for your entire session-MIX IT UP!
- Do not try to hair spray your style into place-MOVEMENT IS BEAUTIFUL!
We’ve found that there are several top suggestions for how to wear your hair during your Senior session.
Our top 3 Senior Photo Hair Styles
- BEACHY WAVES: This is our #1 go to style. It’s relaxed, it moves, it’s flattering for most face shapes. It’s hard to go wrong with soft, bouncy curls. We love this style for breezes and movement.
- MESSY ON TOP: This is likely how many of you wear your hair every day. We put a little polish on it and make a messy top bun that is the perfect combination of casual, yet stylish. You can also do this in a half up, half down style to mix it up. These photos turn out great because they reflect how your friends and family see you every day.
- STRAIGHT, STRAIGHT, STRAIGHT: This is another great option for a more glamorous look. We also love this for our atheletes as it’s a great mix of sophisticated and sporty.
- This is an extra, not style specific tip (and we said it earlier, so it must be important!): Mix up your style during your session. Start with straight hair, curl it up and then throw it in a ponytail. We can play and change things as we move from location to location or set to set.
We hope these tips help you create the session you’ve been dreaming about!
